When BTC started I was a university student, working on campus in between classes, earning a mere $200 per hour. Mrs. Golding was adamant that I should start saving even a little out of my earnings. She encouraged me to start a Golden Harvest investment and in 2008 I took a leap of faith and signed up. It may not seem like much, but I wasn't sure I would be able to find the $3500 every month for the next 5 years out of my “pocket change”. However, that $3500 per month resulted in a life altering experience. A desire emerged right around the time when the YRM was busy making preparations and doing fund raising for the Steel Band's trip to the BWA Youth Congress in Hong Kong. It became deep-rooted when they returned and shared their experiences. I made a decision that I would find a way to attend the next Youth Congress. Well, a few years later the next Youth Congress was held in Germany, and again I was not able to attend because of financial constraints and in hindsight, because it was not in His plan. His plan for me was to be realized in 2013. Appropriately titled “REACH”, I was able to attend my first BWA Youth Congress in Singapore in July 2013. How was I able to afford it this time? BTC…………I was able to secure a loan using my Golden Harvest as collateral. The investment matured in the month after my return from the Congress enabling me to significantly reduce my loan balance and start another five-year investment. BTC has become one of my primary financial institutions. I was able to realize a dream with the help of BTC.
