Social Work Department

“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. Matthew 25:40”

The social work department embraces the Church’s theme by reaching out, serving and sharing, through the provision of food, clothing and medical assistance and monetary gifts as we are able.

In an effort to practically demonstrate the love of Christ and an expression of our Christian faith, we assist members and persons from the community with medicals, food, employment and temporary finances during periods of hardships. We also source items to assist persons eg stove, tables, clothing, and basic food items. We provide a cooked meal, medication, medical examinations and allowance for persons in need on an on-going basis.

Persons are provided with a cook meal from the soup kitchen two days per week (with the intention to expand to 3 days per week) along with basic food items when available.

With the growing tensions in various communities, our Church has joined with other churches to provide assistance in two volatile communities to help create harmony and upliftment.
